“Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually.” — 1 Chronicles 16:11

SOUNDING
This call comes during a moment of celebration. The ark of the covenant has been brought to Jerusalem, and David leads the people in worship. In the middle of that joy, he gives a simple instruction that is meant to shape their daily lives: seek the LORD and seek His presence continually.

David is not talking about occasional moments of devotion. He is describing a way of living. To seek God continually means to keep turning your attention back to Him throughout the day. It shows up in small ways. A quiet prayer between tasks. A moment of gratitude that interrupts routine. A decision made with awareness that God is present.

This kind of seeking is not driven by distance. God is not far away, waiting to be found. He is already near. The purpose of seeking is alignment. It keeps the heart attentive. It prevents drift. It allows ordinary moments to become places of connection rather than distraction.

David understood something important. A life with God is not sustained by a few intense moments but by steady awareness. When the heart learns to return to Him again and again, His presence becomes something that shapes the entire day.

BEARING
A steady awareness of God’s presence is built through small, consistent moments of attention.
