“God saw the people of Israel…and God knew.” — Exodus 2:25
SOUNDING
Israel has been in Egypt for generations. What began as a place of refuge has become a breeding ground for oppression, forced labor, and escalating cruelty. Their cries rise under the weight of slavery, and for a long time nothing seems to shift. Then Scripture offers a quiet turning point, not yet in circumstances but in heaven’s posture: God hears. God remembers. God sees. God knows.
These words do not suggest that God was absent or unaware. They reveal that He is now moving with intention. In Scripture, when God “remembers,” He does not suddenly recall information. He turns toward action, prepares to intervene, and begins aligning events toward deliverance. Before Moses ever stands before Pharaoh, before any plague or parting of the sea, God is already leaning into their suffering with purpose. What looks like silence on earth is never indifference in heaven.
There are seasons when nothing outwardly changes, and it feels as if you are unseen within your own story. This moment in Exodus pushes back against that fear. God’s awareness is not casual. He sees fully, hears completely, and knows intimately. When He moves, He does so with precision. Deliverance often begins long before it becomes visible. The moment God turns His attention toward action is usually hidden from human sight, yet it is never absent.
BEARING
God’s awareness of your life is active, not distant. What He sees, hears, and knows, He also holds with intention and moves upon in His time.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for seeing what I carry and knowing what I cannot always express. Help me trust that You are working even when I cannot yet see movement.
